LUNCH

A healthy lunch provides nutrition and energy to keep our growing and active students fueled for the rest of their busy day.  It also provides one third of all the calories a child eats daily.   With this in mind, we encourage all North Shore Adventist Academy students to bring healthy and nutritious meals for lunch to school.  We recommend low fat proteins, vegetables and fruit be included in each child’s lunchbox.   These nutrient packed foods are proven to benefit children’s health and academic achievement.

Students at North Shore Adventist Academy eat their lunches in their classrooms with their teachers and classmates.   Each classroom has a microwave so students can warm their meals.

Middle school and high school classes develop entrepreneur and marketing skills by planning, advertizing and selling vegetarian meals to students twice a week.   The profit they make is used to fund overnight class trips.  Menus for these vegetarian lunches are sent home weekly.
